Hand held window shots aboard a Boeing 737-900 over the Gulf of
Mexico at 30k feet en route from Cozumel to Houston. Image #2 with the
streak is a one second film exposure coupled with an airspeed of approx
400mph. The jet traveled 586 feet to produce this image. The line moves
upward, indicating  that the plane was turning left or northwest. Image #3
shows a straight NNW heading, flying over the gulf's center.

This 737, operated by Continental Airlines is 1 of 1250 that are airborne at
any given time . A 737 takes off or lands somewhere in the world, every 5
seconds.

This model, the 737-900 has a perfect safety track record. If you fly from
Houston to Cozumel, this is the jet you want to be on.
